Resource Information

When it comes to education, counseling, guidance, healing and direction what information, resource materials for all ages and stages who should I seek?  Where do I go? Where do I turn when there is a crisis?   Sometimes our crisis is the reason for us to seek resources.  What if you do not feel comfortable telling someone your problem, where would you go to seek help? I know from my life experiences I did not feel comfortable sharing my issues because, I felt ashamed. I know from mentoring youth in the juvenile hall system that these children are seeking out various peers maybe because their current or earlier role models may or may not have been a positive influence.  Some of the incarcerated youth like information to read, listen, watch and hear from others.  What if we can’t be there for them physically, how can we be there for them?  I have created this link and blog to create a channel to communicate and I will share their stories with you.

Diploma completion for you is possible!  Believe it! You just need to choose to make it your number one goal.  (let’s not live with this mind-set of wishing you would have obtained it), there isn’t much you can do in life without education.  Employers want to know your dedication and commitment level? Why is that, because, employment is no different than your education.  If the going gets tough they want to know you are not a quitter, that you are a fighter and you want more out of life!  The possibilities are endless when it comes to obtaining your education.  Remember, you are never too old to get your G.E.D.  Life is in your hands, what does your future look like?  I will complete my education; I will get my diploma or my G.E.D. Because, I want to show off my diploma or certificate.  I have worked hard to conquer this; I am the first one in my family that has obtained their diploma.

What’s next?

Whether bringing people together to volunteer, improving a child’s education, fight child abuse, or creating a safe environment for a family to live together, there are lots of organizations there to help by providing services for children who have suffered abuse, neglect, abandonment and homelessness.  These organizations are there to help children gain self-sufficiency and stability in their lives. These children may have gang members or prison inmates as parents or perhaps they are just not receiving the guidance they need at such a young age from a competent role model. No matter what the circumstance is there are many organizations that will offer troubled kids with shelter and support. As we mentor Gods lost children it is incredibly important to make sure that children are not neglected.  Many organizations are able to deal with these issues and offer a support network for at-risk youth and neglected children, sometimes in the form of after school programs, tutoring, and mentor-ship to keep these children out of trouble and to prevent juvenile crime. With the work of these organizations, they may help children suffering from psychological abuse, physical abuse, as well as many other problems to help them get their lives back on track.

Seeking locations in local communities to stand in the gap for our youth in a safe loving environment as we mentor Gods lost children.

As we mentor Gods Lost children what essential tools are needed? Reaching out and mentoring to Gods homeless youth that are living on the streets.  These children consist of all ages and stages.  Most of them are on drugs of some sort, they have given up on life.  Why?  Because, they are lost, unloved, unwanted, used and abused.  Will you join us by bringing light into their darkness?  Come and listen to their horrific stories, abuse, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, etc.

  • Listening ears – mentoring youth requires listening ears, especially when it comes to abused youth.
  • Speak life – we are to speak into their developing lives and as positive role models.
  • Be a person of your word.  Do what you say you will do, especially when others are counting on you.  You won’t always understand others, especially when people say they believe but it doesn’t line up with how they live. Always give grace and respond with compassion.  Emotions are good but, they have their place.   God’s love may not make sense at this time in their life, but, have faith.  Remember, how long it took you to surrender to Him.
  • I will touch on more soon in regards to mentoring youth of all ages and stages.
  • Reaching out to Gods children these blog posts consist of daily and weekly occurrences. Conversations as we go about our daily lives. These blog posts are a summation of current events or opportunities that came about in a way to share the love of Jesus.  We hope you help us bring light into someone’s darkness or follow us to learn more. There are so many opportunities in our lives to safe the gospel. All we do is for the Kingdom of God. Will you join us by spreading His word?
